Dogs Barking

In the car, listening to the local station that plays christmas music 24/7, the boys are making lots of noise, Savannah is crying.
THEN the dogs barking "Jingle Bells" comes on the radio and everyone quiets down to listen.
Then they start to laugh.
Even Savannah is quiet while the song plays.
Needless to say, I now love this song (while we're in the car), even though I never liked it before a week ago.

Just say 'no'

Dad: Are you going to eat some dinner?
Tucker: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no (etc. to the tune of "Twinkle, twinkle, little star")

To nap, or do laundry?

Tucker always has quiet time every afternoon, whenever we're just hanging out at home. He usually took naps, up until Savannah was born. Then I would just hear him playing through the entire quiet time, so I knew he was giving up his nap, but every once and a while, he'll still fall asleep. This was how I found him the other day. That's as close as he's gotten to sleeping on that bed - he still wants to sleep in his crib.

Carson just got some sparring gear to use in his karate class - he is so excited. He's been doing really well and improving his techniques.

We ended up staying home from church today cause the boys had really bad coughs, but since Savannah was already dressed, I had them put on their church clothes too and we got some nice shots!

Halloween 2010

Here's Carson with Sydney and Owen on Friday night, just before they went to the church Halloween party.

And this is Carson and Tucker with Keith just before going trick-or-treating. Tucker has this way-cool astronaut costume.....

and Carson has a way-cool knight costume.

But this was just minutes later......

and Tucker decided he didn't want the costume on anymore.

so he screamed.......

and cried......

and rolled around, screaming and crying.

....but Tucker went out without his costume. We'll see what happens next year, he may not go trick-or-treating! Carson was excited, though.

Some leaf bug we had in our entryway last night.

Looks like a grasshopper. I don't see how a bug like this is hanging out in dry Nevada.

Pumpkin Patch

We headed out to the pumpkin patch to get into the halloween spirit. It was a perfect day for it; chilly, cloudy, windy. There were lots of blackbirds pecking at the ground and flying around in the cornfield, so it added to the whole halloween-feel. The boys got to see the animals and sit on the tractor. They picked out nice little pumpkins to paint.
