Maker Faire

We went to the National Maker Faire in DC last Saturday. 

a life-size R2D2 rolling around, pretty neat

lots of booths sponsored by robotics and tech companies. This one is a RadioShack tent where the kids learned about soldering. They each got a kit and an employee helped them to put them together.

Carson's 11th birthday

Because his birthday is on a Wednesday, Carson had his birthday party on a Saturday before, so he could have a friend Ethan come over. We had pizza and made rubix cube cupcakes.

Opening presents; Carson had been waiting for a long time for this moment!

He got lots of cool and comfy shirts and shorts.

Keith looking through the warriors book. This morning, Carson got breakfast sandwiches (english muffins, egg, sausage, cheese, etc. ) and got a box of Mike'n Ikes and we popped some (exploding-confetti ) poppers. He's 11 years old!
