Tucker and Savannah are in a Shakespeare Play

Tucker and Savannah were in a Shakespeare class with their homeschool group. Every Wednesday, we drove down to Carson City to meet with the Light, Truth and Intelligence Homeschool co-op group and they had a Shakespeare class for 1 hour each week. They read and watched plays, and gave presentations on certain plays, and in February/March, they started casting for their own play,
'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. They did many rehearsals and finally had two shows
at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City.

Miss America - I mean, Savannah

The play was spectacular! It was only about 1 1/2 hours and
the players did a great job making the play funny.
It was impressive to see all their hard work pay off as the players
remembered their parts and played them so well.

Grandma Bea and Grandpa Gene visit Reno

Tucker and Savannah were cast in a Shakespeare play put on by their
homeschool group. It was 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', and Tucker was
Demetrius, and Savannah was Titania. This is a picture before their first performance on a Friday afternoon at the
Brewery Arts Center in Carson City.

This is after the last show on Saturday afternoon - instead of a bouquet
of flowers, I gave Tucker and Savannah a chocolate dragonfly lollipop.

They're wearing crowns because they completed a requirement of
reading or watching 17 Shakespeare plays throughout the year
for the Shakespeare class.

we went to Callahan park to look for places to take some pictures, and
I found some pinecone earrings - lovely.

CANstruction

Today the VC Silver Circuits teamed up, once again, with the AT&T Pioneers - Silver State Chapter 101 to construct another impressive CANstruction structure. Our own team member, Hunter, who is only 13, used his CAD skills to design the structure in Fusion360. This year’s structure is 9’-6” wide x 7’-7” tall! Members of the AT&T Pioneers, Hunter, Karl, Coen, Aidan, and Carson were all present to help bring the creation to life.
Please cast your vote for TEAM #3 from May 3-8 for the People’s Choice Award! https://fbnn.org/canstruction2023
Each vote is $1 to cast, with all money raised benefiting the Food Bank. That means every vote cast will provide 3 meals for neighbors in need of food.

Carson said it's supposed to be the phone booth from Dr. Who - and I can
see Wall-E there holding the boot with the plant, and a planet above him.

UPDATE: The Silver Circuits canstructure won both the 'Best Use of Labels'
and the People's Choice awards!

Choosing alliances in Edison Division

The VC Silver Circuits chose The Knack and Brainstormers

The VC Silver Circuits had a great run and were undefeated in their division.
They did not advance to the finals after losing in the early alliance matches. This
picture shows the team and their coaches and mentors.
